Requirements:
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
Experience with automotive product development processes
Flexible and willing to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to multi-tasking is a must
Willing to travel (domestic and international)
Responsibilities:
Current Programs (up to 40% of time):
To be the technical expert for current products in production – USB Cables, iPod interface cables, LVDS cables, IR Remote Controls and Headphones
Manage projects from concept thru launch
Interface with Manufacturing team in China for pre-launch, launch and post-launch activities
Manage project timelines, action items, project binders and files.
Understanding of automotive quality requirements, PPAP, APQP, TS-16949, etc.
Expertise in MS Office applications, including MS Project
R&D (up to 60% of time):
Solidworks, Pro/E and AutoCAD experience – must be able to design products (3D and 2D) that meet customer requirements
Research, Innovate and Create next generation automotive products and components that fall within the business line and vision of the company
Work with Business Development teams in Detroit, Brazil and India, to put together quote responses to customer and create conceptual drawings, etc.
